Amy versus the Weeping Angels by andydiehl Amy versus the Weeping Angels by andydiehl
In anticipation of the new Doctor Who episodes, I made this little epilogue to the Pond's story arc.

It's not cannon that a Weeping Angel could be frozen by its reflection, but I think you could make the case for it. It's a part of the Weeping Angels very name that they fear being frozen by each other and if anything that holds the image of an Angel becomes an Angel you could argue that an Angel looking at its own reflection would be the same effect as two Angels looking at each other.

I think it actually is canon for a weeping angel to be quantum - locked via mirror

Awesome! Reminds me of the Mara from the Davison Era of the classic series.

Oh... very nice. I didn't even think of that. I actually thought of the idea of using mirrors to combat Weeping Angels after "Blink" came out but decided it probably couldn't work because if Angels could freeze themselves, they wouldn't put their hands in front of their faces (because the would be observing a part of themselves). It was only the rule established in "Time of the Angels" that an image of an Angel becomes an Angel that I thought this idea could work. And nobody deserves to kick an Angel's ass more than Amy Pond.

This seems more like what Donna would do... "Now try moving Sunshine!"

that is true, (tried it once, but mirrors fog up and it is only temporary)

Can't the angel send the mirror back in time?

I think that only works on loving things & stuff they're wearing/carrying.

*shudder* The weeping angels are my least favorite alien/thing on Dr. Who.

If the image of an Angel becomes an angel, then the Angel in the mirror is also an Angel, and angels can't look at each other. Recall the first time we see the Angels, the Doctor traps them by luring them to surround the TARDIS and then make it dematerialize so that they end up looking at each other.

That which holds the image of an angel, is itself an angel. I think the mirror itself would become possessed. Really cute art though!

Well if two angels were looking at each other, they would be stone and not stone at the same time. Stone isn't alive, so they come alive, but then they're looking at each other, so they don't. Unless one is already stone, in that case the second live angel wouldn't be stone because it's being looked at by stone.
Just felt like sharing.

Finally! I have always hated the Weeping Angels. Probably the dumbest villain ever on Doctor Who.
